Example: use a PDF diagram in a slide
A report contains a diagram on its third page. Select page 3, export it as PNG, and insert the image into your presentation. The tool exports the whole page; crop the downloaded image in your slide editor if you only need the diagram.
When an image is the right output
Use PNG when the destination expects an image rather than a PDF. A rendered page can be inserted into a slide, design, or document. It retains the visible appearance at the exported resolution, but it no longer contains editable PDF text or vector shapes.
This is a whole-page exporter. It does not extract an original embedded photograph or crop an area from the page.
Export your page step by step
- Open PDF to PNG and choose your PDF.
- Wait for the page previews to load, then click the page you want to export. You can also enter its position in Page number.
- Select Export PNG and wait for rendering to finish.
- Choose Download to save the PNG image.
- Open the image and check that the correct page and all required content are visible.
Understand PNG quality and file size
PNG uses lossless encoding, so it does not add the JPEG compression artifacts that can appear around text and sharp edges. That can be useful for diagrams or text-heavy pages. Photo-heavy pages may create larger PNG files than comparable JPG images.
The page is rendered at twice the PDF viewer’s base scale. The output has fixed pixel dimensions: enlarging it substantially can make it look soft. A low-resolution scan remains limited by the original image; exporting to PNG does not restore missing detail.
Keep the original PDF if your reader needs searchable text, clickable links, or sharp vector content at different zoom levels.
If the image looks wrong
- The wrong page exported: use the page position shown in the preview, starting at 1, rather than a printed page label.
- The PNG looks soft when enlarged: use the original PDF where possible, or reduce the size at which you display the image.
- The image is larger than expected: a full-page PNG can be large, especially with photographs. Try PDF to JPG when your task allows a compressed image.
- Rendering fails: try a smaller or simpler PDF. Large page dimensions and complex graphics can exceed browser memory.
- Text is not selectable: PNG is an image. Use PDF to Word if your goal is to edit selectable text.
One page at a time
This tool exports one selected page per download. To save another page, select it and process again. The converter does not currently create a ZIP containing every page as PNG.
PDF contents are processed locally in your browser. Check the result for confidential information before placing it in a public presentation or sharing it.
