Example: two photographed sheets need an A4 upload
You photographed two document sheets as JPG files. Convert them into one PDF in reading order, download it, then open Resize PDF and choose A4. Inspect the final pages before uploading; resizing does not straighten a tilted photo or restore blurry text.
Prepare readable document photos
Photograph each sheet with even lighting and keep the entire document inside the frame. Check focus before leaving the source behind. Crop unnecessary surroundings and straighten the image using your phone’s photo editor if needed.
This workflow accepts JPG/JPEG, PNG and WebP images. HEIC and HEIF files are not supported directly. Export an actual JPG or PNG using an image editor or your device’s export settings; changing the filename extension does not convert the image.
Create a PDF from the photos
- Open JPG to PDF and select the supported image files from your device.
- Check the Selected files list. Use the up and down arrows to arrange the images in reading order.
- Remove a file if it is the wrong photo or an unnecessary duplicate.
- Select Create PDF and download the result.
- Open the PDF and check that every sheet is present and readable. Each selected image becomes a PDF page.
Resize the PDF pages to A4
Conversion and resizing are separate operations. The image converter creates pages from the source images; Resize PDF places existing page content on the target page size. A4 measures 210 × 297 mm. Scaling a photograph does not increase its detail or automatically correct perspective.
- Open Resize PDF and choose the PDF you just downloaded.
- Choose A4, then select portrait or landscape to suit the document.
- Choose an outer margin of 0, 10 or 20 mm. Enable Enlarge smaller pages to fit only if you want small source pages scaled up.
- Create and download the resized PDF.
- Open the final file and check that the content fits the A4 pages without unexpected clipping or excessive blank space.
Check the destination’s requirements
Read the upload instructions for page dimensions, maximum size, orientation and required contents. An A4 PDF can still be too large for an attachment field. If necessary, try Compress PDF on the completed document and compare both size and readability.
Do not remove required information merely to fit a limit. If a photograph is unreadable, create a clearer image from the original document. Some recipients require a specific scanning method or original file, so an image-based PDF may not meet every submission requirement.
Understand what the PDF contains
The resulting PDF contains your photographs. It does not automatically contain selectable document text, reconstructed tables or optical character recognition. PDF to Word cannot extract editable words from an image-only page without a usable text layer.
For archival or submission purposes, check the visual result. For editable text, use an appropriate OCR workflow first and verify the recognized words against the source. Keep the original photos and document as references.
Privacy, image limits and mobile checks
The selected image contents and resized PDF are processed in your browser. They are not uploaded to FreePDFsTools for these operations. There is no fixed image-count or file-size cap in this workflow, but high-resolution photos can require substantial memory.
If your phone struggles, use fewer photos at a time or export suitably sized images while keeping text readable. Find each download in the browser’s Downloads list or your file manager before closing the tab. Check the first and last pages and zoom into small print in the final A4 PDF.
Put the guide into practice
Start with a copy of your document and check the result before sharing it.
